What kind of companies use Virkla?
Virkla is built for recruiting teams that run structured hiring processes at meaningful scale — typically organisations hiring ten or more people per year who want more consistency, better candidate quality, and less coordination overhead. Our core market is mid-size to large organisations in Germany and across the EU, with particular strength in technology, professional services, and regulated industries where GDPR compliance and decision defensibility are priorities.
How does AI Score Matching actually work?
When a recruiter creates a job posting in Virkla, they define the specific requirements and evaluation criteria for that role — not a generic keyword list. When applications arrive, the AI scores each candidate against those criteria and produces a ranked shortlist. Scores are visible to recruiters and always overridable. The AI does not make final decisions — it prioritises the queue so recruiters spend their time on the most relevant profiles first. All scoring logic is explainable and role-specific.
Is Virkla GDPR compliant?
Yes. Virkla is designed from the ground up for GDPR compliance in a recruiting context. This includes: lawful basis documentation for data collection, configurable retention periods for candidate data, candidate data subject request handling (access, correction, deletion), data minimisation through blind CV features, and a signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available to all customers. Virkla operates as the data processor; your organisation is the data controller for your recruiting data. Full documentation is available in the Help Center.
How long does implementation take?
Most teams run their first live hiring process within one to two days of account setup. Full configuration — including custom pipeline stages, evaluation templates, team permissions, and integrations — typically takes one to two weeks depending on your organisation's complexity. For enterprise deployments with SSO, custom integrations, and multi-team rollout, we provide a structured onboarding programme with dedicated support. There is no professional services requirement for standard implementations.
What integrations are available?
Virkla integrates with major HRIS platforms, calendar and scheduling tools, job boards and sourcing platforms, and assessment and psychometrics providers. Our API is available to customers on Professional and Growth plans for custom integrations. A full and up-to-date integration list is available in the Help Center. If you need a specific integration that is not currently available, contact us — we prioritise integration development based on customer demand.
Can we trial Virkla before committing?
Yes. We offer a structured pilot programme for teams that want to evaluate Virkla on a live hiring process before committing to a plan. Pilots are scoped around a specific role or team, supported by the sales team, and designed to give you a realistic view of the platform's impact in your actual context. Does Virkla support multiple languages?
Yes. The Virkla platform is available in English and German, with job postings, evaluation templates, and candidate communications fully localised in both languages. Additional language support is on the roadmap. If your team operates in a language not currently supported, contact us to discuss timeline and options.
How does Virkla handle candidate privacy?
Candidate data submitted through Virkla-powered application processes is handled in accordance with GDPR. Candidates whose applications are inactive after a configurable retention period are automatically notified and their data is deleted. Blind CV mode anonymises personal identifiers during early screening. Candidates can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time. What does pricing look like?
Virkla offers Starter, Professional, Growth, and Custom plans scaled to hiring volume and team size. Pricing is based on active roles and user seats rather than per-application charges. Can Virkla be used alongside our existing ATS?
Yes. Some teams use Virkla's AI scoring, debias, and evaluation modules alongside an existing ATS through API and integration connections. Others migrate fully to Virkla as their primary ATS. The approach depends on your existing contracts, team preferences, and which gaps you are most urgently trying to close.
